TevlinGleadle (Murray Tevlin and John Chesko) are counsel for Mr. McCormick, a long serving partner at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP (BC), in this important employment law case which addresses the question of the scope of the age discrimination provisions of the BC Human Rights Code (and by extension other similar Canadian and provincial statues.
Mr. McCormick was forced to leave because he had attained an age which, according the the Partnership Agreement he signed, he could not without approval continue as an equity partner.
The SCC has tentatively scheduled the hearing of the appeal for December 13, 2013.
